- I am out-of-network. Your health insurance may only cover acupuncture from an in-network provider, but some will also cover out-of-network. Even if you need to pay out-of-pocket, the claims can help reduce your deductible.
- Unfortunately, Acupuncturists cannot bill Medicare directly! You will need to find an acupuncturist who is a physician to seek reimbursement through Medicare.
- Since health insurance for acupuncture is not as straightforward as other therapies we ask for payment at the time of the appointment, submit insurance claims on your behalf, then reimburse the money once it's received from your insurance provider. Alternatively, I can provide an attending practitioners report (Superbill) for you to make a claim directly.
