WHAT TO EXPECT

First Appointment - 1 1/2 - 2 hours
Traditional Diagnosis

- You will receive a full hour and a half to two hours of Kate's undivided attention and care. In addition to discussing your chief complaint(s), she will ask you about your lifestyle, diet, habits, hobbies and more. This helps her to develop a treatment plan specific to your individual needs.

- Treatment usually starts with 'tapping for Aggressive Energy'. This involves superficial insertion of needles in acupuncture points on the back. The needles are retained for up to 40 mins to enable the body to release any Aggressive Energy the body may have held on to due to trauma or stress.
Ongoing Appointments  - 60 mins.
Bespoke treatment

- Typical treatments include 5 - 9 acupuncture points - needles are usually inserted, turned and removed. Treatment may also include moxibustion, gua sha and cupping.

Recommended Frequency of treatments

I recommend committing to 3 - 5 weekly or bi-weekly sessions initially. Many people feel better after the first treatment but the most benefit can be gained from the accumulative effects of multiple treatments.

At some point you will find you can maintain balance for longer periods without acupuncture and appointments can be spaced further apart. Consider coming monthly for maintenance, during seasonal transitions, or whenever you feel like you need a tune-up!

Once you've booked, you will receive an automated confirmation text/email, and Kate will email you an intake form for you to fill out and bring to your appointment.
